Sailors on USS Ronald Reagan Try Vietnamese Cuisine

American sailors and chefs try cooking Quang noodles with support of famous chef Tuyet Pham.

The main ingredients used in Mì Quảng, also known as Quang noodles, are rice noodles, meat, and herbs, most commonly served with a small amount of broth, which is generally infused with seasoning such as turmeric.
Sailors and chefs aboard USS Ronald Reagan are delighted at having the chance to experience cooking and tasting Quang noodles for the first time.
The US crewmen also have the opportunity to make an authentic Vietnamese baguette.
Sailor Zachary Hansen Mcphail shows great enthusiasm when sampling the noodles and baguette for the first time. The dish looks very tempting and is full of a delicious taste, he shares. The sailor also hopes to return to Vietnam to discover more traditional food in the future.
US chefs introduce Vietnamese friends to cookies, a baked or cooked snack or dessert that is typically small, flat, and sweet. Cookies are popular across the world, particularly in Europe and North America.

Ha Long city to host Hokkaido festival in November

This information was released at a meeting between the administration of Quang Ninh province and Takebe Tsutomu, special advisor of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Alliance on February 28. The festival represents be a good chance for young people to gain a greater understanding about Japanese culture and to thereby build bridges connecting the two countries.
