Hanoi-Fukuoka Partnership Enhances Relations between Vietnam and Japan

Vietnam-Hanoi Festival in Fukuoka attracts a large number of visitors. A delegation of Hanoi led by the Standing Vice Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen visited Fukuoka prefecture and attended activities marking 15 years of the two localities’ friendship within the framework of the working trip to Japan from November 10-12. Vietnamese woman creates giant ‘non la’ model in Mekong Delta city

Dao Thi Cam Suong, the calligraphy artist behind the sculpture, said that she was inspired by her love for Can Tho, the local culture, and its residents. A ‘non la’ is a traditional Vietnamese conical hat typically made from bamboo and straw. Suong’s giant conical hat took 89 days to transform from idea to reality. The massive ‘non la’ measures eight meters in diameter and six meters tall. Vietnam’s head coach to visit 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup venues in New Zealand

The month-long competition will take place from July 20 to August 20 next year in Australia and New Zealand — the first co-hosts in the history of the Women’s World Cup. A draw on Saturday put Vietnam in Group E with the U.S., the Netherlands, and an as-yet-unknown winner of the play-off among Thailand, Cameroon, and Portugal. All games in the group will be organized in New Zealand. According to the schedule, the Vietnamese women’s football team will take on the U.S. on July 22, 2023 in Auckland, the play-off winner on July 27, 2023 in Hamilton, and the Netherlands on August 1, 2023 in Dunedin. Exhibition featuring Hanoi’s cultural heritages chosen for filming locations

The event is being organised by the Vietnam Film Institute as part of the sixth Hanoi International Film Festival 2022. On display at the event will be 200 photos of numerous relic sites and cultural heritages, all of which are settings of cinematographic works used by both local and foreign filmmakers. Furthermore, approximately 150 images selected from 29 feature films and documentaries will also be exhibited at the function. The exhibition will include more than 40 pictures showing the true beauty of Hanoi in the past, as well as its recent development taken by filmmakers Pham Thanh Ha, photographers Nguyen Huu Bao, and Hoang Huu Khanh. The Beauty of Purple Water Lilies in Yen Stream

Yen stream is part of the Huong Son tourist area complex of Huong Son commune, My Duc district, outside Hanoi, about 70km from the city center.
