According to Sun Group, the 2023 DIFF is the main event of the ‘WOW Da Nang’ program, an integral initiative under the group’s ‘WOW Vietnam’ tourism campaign. The 2023 DIFF will be held on a stage along the bank of the Han River. The event will see participation from seven international pyrotechnic teams from the UK, Italy, Poland, France, Australia, Canada, Finland, as well as a team from Da Nang. The Vietnamese and Finnish teams compete following the festival’s opening ceremony on June 3 evening. The teams from Canada and France hold their fireworks displays on June 10, while those from Australia and Italy have their turn on June 17, followed by Poland and England on June 24. The finale takes place on the evening of July 8. With the theme ‘The World Without Gap,’ the 2023 DIFF will honor the strong recovery of the world’s tourism following the COVID-19 pandemic.
