Promoting Korean cuisine in Hanoi through Chef Show 2023

The programme will comprise three mini shows to be held between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on May 5, May 6, and May 7.

Chef Show 2023 is expected to attract more than 1,000 participants who will receive free tickets on the fanpage of the Korea Tourism Organisation.

First started as Bibap Show, a 30-minute performance to raise the awareness about Korean food in 2008, changed its name to Chef Show and underwent an upgrade in 2011. The show will see a combination of beat boxing, B-boy dancing, martial arts, and other dance performances.

The programme simulates a special restaurant where chefs participate in a culinary competition to find the master chef who holds the best cooking secrets.

Audiences will be able to take part in the entire cooking process, and sample dishes such as Bibimbap, sushi, pizza, and noodles.

The programme has been performed in 37 countries and territories around the world, according to the Korea Tourism Organisation.

Since the beginning of this year, the Republic of Korea (RoK) has welcomed more than 105,000 Vietnamese tourists, representing a huge increase of 538% over the same period from last year.

Lee Jae Hoon, chief representative of the Korea Tourism Organization, said he hopes the programme would introduce Korean arts to Vietnamese audiences, allowing Vietnamese tourists to have more options for their trip to the RoK.
