Ha Giang province ready to host first Moc Mien flower festival
The event will mark the first time that the festival has been held in Ha Giang province, with the aim of promoting the special cultural features of the ethnic minority group in mountainous area whilst simultaneously developing the local tourism sector.
The festival will involve a wide range of activities such as ethnic costume competition, and Khen flute performance of Mong ethnic group.
During the event tourists will have opportunities to enjoy taking photos in Moc Mien flower gardens; visiting Dong Van Karst Plateau, a UNESCO-recognized Global Geopark; and planting Moc Mien trees.
It is part of a traditional festival to celebrate the Khen flute of the Mong ethnic group who reside in Ha Giang province.
